MISSION: ORIENTATION (Malay: MISI: ORIENTASI) is the fifteenth episode of Agent Ali. It is also the second episode of Season 2. It is aired on 29 September, 2017.
Synopsis[]
After being accepted into the academy, Ali is welcomed greatly by everyone including the junior agents, except for one...
Plot[]
The episode opens with the M.A.T.A. Academy. A woman says that this place is where the junior agents are trained to be better than the agents of the past. She also tells Ali and Alicia that the junior agents are their classmates and they have been trained for at least a year by their respective mentors. The four mentors introduce themselves: Karya the INVISO mentor, Bakar the KOMBAT mentor, Leon the NEURO mentor, and the woman is Geetha, the TEKNO mentor.
Geetha asks the junior agents who would like to introduce themselves first. A boy in the NEURO pillar volunteers to go first. He stands in the middle, crosses his arms confidently and falls backwards. Ali is shocked until the boy comes up and flies around. It turns out he has a jetpack. He proudly introduces himself as Jet. Jet nearly gets hit by a laser beam that is shot by a tomboy in the NEURO pillar. She scoffs him off and introduces herself as Roza.
A wheelchair-bound girl in the KOMBAT pillar introduces herself as Mika. Ali wonders how she can fight with her disability. She confidently activates her mecha suit and wears it, allowing her to fight. A blonde boy in the KOMBAT pillar moves and levitates his laser kris around. Once he sits down in a silat position, he introduces himself as Chris. He then calls for Iman to demonstrate herself. Iman, the hijab girl in the KOMBAT pillar, knocks off both laser kris with her rope dart. After she does some moves with it, she bows down and shyly introduces herself.
A boy in the TEKNO pillar pats Ali's shoulder and introduces himself as Bulat. He shows his Rubik's Sphere, which confuses Ali on how it works. He moves around the coloured blocks, which produces confetti in the first puzzle, and the second puzzle creates a robot that projects a shield. A hoverboard robot nudges Ali's foot to get his attention. The robot goes to a boy with glasses in the TEKNO pillar, who introduces himself as Khai.
Ali is interrupted by a sudden blurred surroundings. When it becomes clear, he is shocked to find a tall, thin boy in the INVISO pillar in front of him. He is also shocked to find that his Yoyo is gone. Apparently, the tall, thin boy has stolen his yoyo and returns to him. The boy salutes as a greeting. A girl in the INVISO pillar introduces the boy as Zass and says that he doesn't talk. The girl then introduces herself as Moon, and creates holograms of her, each introducing themselves as Moon.
Ali is amazed by all of their abilities and wants to see more. All of the junior agents turn to look at the last person who has not introduced himself: the spiky haired boy in the INVISO pillar. He coldly says "Just call me Rudy" and leaves. His cold and rude behavior confuses the four mentors and Ali.
After the opening credits, Ali is seen walking across the corridor. He has arrived at school on 8 am. He cannot wait to go to M.A.T.A. Academy. He leaves Comot in front of the store room and tells her to wait for him. In class, Ali is wishing that time passes by quickly as he is feeling impatient. He decides to focus on the lessons. Puan Munah gives the students some exercises to be done on tablets. Ali answers the questions correctly and finishes it with ease. As he wonders how long the time has passed, he is shocked to find that only 5 minutes have passed. He exclaims it out loud, shocking everyone in class. Puan Munah gets angry and punishes him for not paying attention in class.
Finally, the final bell rings. Ali quickly packs up and leaves. Viktor is surprised to see his friend rushing. Ali goes to the store room and calls for Comot. Comot comes out from a boot. They enter the store room and Ali goes to find the stamp book. He discovers Viktor is coming and rushes out to meet him. Viktor is surprised to find the Stamp Collecting Club has a second meeting today. He asks Ali why is he rushing in an excited way to the club. He wonders if it is fun and wants to join. Ali quickly denies and says that he will run out of stamps to trade and it is boring. Viktor shrugs it off and tells Ali that they will chat online this evening. After he leaves, Alicia comes up behind Ali. She says that it is a close call and Ali falls down because he is startled by her.
In the elevator, Ali asks Alicia why she joined the MATA Academy when she is already qualified enough to be an agent. Alicia told that she was required by General Rama to look after and watch over Ali holding IRIS because she didn't know who else to trust after what happened with Jenny's betrayal. Alicia reminds Ali to behave himself as she is in charge of IRIS' protection Ali protests as he considers himself responsible for the device.
When they arrived at the Academy, Ali was greeted by Khai who was already waiting. Ali forgot his name, so Khai reminded him while shaking hands. Ali introduced himself, and Khai said he already knew his name, so they both laughed; Alicia was not happy with that and left first. As soon as he finished joking, Ali realized that Comot was nowhere to be seen, luckily Iman was present and held the cat for him. Moon suddenly appeared and wanted to borrow IRIS, but Khai ordered that IRIS was in sync with Ali. Jet was also present, surprised to think IRIS was like normal glasses, and asked Ali to demonstrate it. Ali proceeds to scan Jet and analyze the data, then he quips that Jet only grows taller by wearing extended boots, making the others all laugh out loud.
Moon pulls Jet aside and asks to be scanned, whereupon Ali discovers from the IRIS analysis that Moon is wearing some sort of suit equipped with a holographic device to emit holographic clones like yesterday. Not only Moon was impressed, even Khai said " Naisu! " to Ali's device's ability to get information at a glance. Moon denounces Ali for defeating Djin, the leader of Inviso's Pillar, while Khai questions Ali and whether Djin can really turn into smoke and materialize anywhere. Ali shyly answered yes.
At the same time, Rudy makes a surprise appearance, scolding the others for being "nonsense" and correcting the fact that Djin moves so fast that the other agents can't match him in speed, and he even uses smoke to hide his movements so that enemies can't detect them. Ali nods accepting Rudy's correction, and Rudy orders that the Inviso agent should know this technique, then he leaves with a warning to this new student not to ramble on about things he doesn't know even using IRIS Ali asks Moon what's up with Rudy; he replied that he was experiencing emotional turmoil, especially because Djin was his idol.
Iman invited her friends to class, so they all went together. On the way, Jet asks Ali about his "girl best friend," so Moon slaps him on the shoulder and tells him not to make it up. Suddenly Bakar came calling Ali and said that the pillar leaders wanted to see him. Ali's new friends were surprised by those words because they themselves had never met the pillar leaders. Bakar attracted Ali and Ali felt uneasy about meeting the core leader, especially because Bakar did not know the pillar leader's intentions.
Ali was put in a dark room where there were four vertical screen rods. In three of the screens flashed dim glimpses of three pillar leaders illuminated by their respective core colors. The leader of the Tekno Pillar(red) in the form of a woman wearing a turban scarf, questions Ali about his experience at the Academy so far. Ali replied that it was fun because the place was beautiful and there were many new friends to interact with. The Kombat Pillar leader (blue) in the form of a burly man with curly hair, loudly admonishes Ali that the Academy is no place to play, making Ali nervous. The Tekno leader admonishes him not to scare Ali, but the Kombat leader objects because he doesn't want to treat him like a child.
The leader of the Neuro Pillar (yellow) also appears to defuse the argument between his two counterparts, then he orders Ali to understand how critical the situation is now because the instability of IRIS Override Mode can make it into a dangerous weapon if it falls into the wrong hands. He shows Ali to the deleted screen that Djin was once an Inviso Pillar Leader and informs Ali that the former Inviso Pillar leader won't stop until he gets the device, so he is leading the information-gathering effort in the MATA mission to thwart the enemy's plans. The Tekno Pillar Leader advises Ali to be on high alert because the enemy has ambushed them in the past, and the Kombat Pillar Leader reminds him to train harder to be able to defend himself. Ali seriously accepted the Pillar Leader's advices, and their special meeting session ended thereafter.
Ali came out of the room with a gloomy face and was greeted by Bakar. Rizwan then later appears in their way and is greeted by Ali. Ali tried to ask about his condition but was told to give way, even though he found Rizwan's character very different he saw that there was something wrong with him. Rizwan enters the room and proceeds to face the pillar leaders, expressing his curiosity to know the true story of the last five years' mission and the truth about the Djin's disappearance. The pillar leaders were speechless, for a moment the situation became quiet.
Ali was taken by Bakar to the classroom to join the class led by Agent Leon. Ali asked Khai what he was talking about, and Leon told Ali to concentrate. Now that the students have fully gathered, Leon informs them they can do the training exercise as a team, making all the students look at each other. Geetha further explained that team training is that they will be split into several teams to compete in training missions.
Ali asks if the team is entered according to each core, and Geetha explains that in MATA, a complete team needs to combine the expertise of all four cores. Ali asked which core he belonged to, then Geetha explained that she was included in the Tekno core because she wears a red agent suit and is a special gadget operator, Then Geetha allows the young agents to choose their respective teams. Ali found Khai restless. When asked, Khai tells Ali that they can't be on the same team because they are in the same core, then wishes Ali good luck and part ways.
Moon calls Ali to join their team with Iman and Jet. Ali is interested in a team to join with them, but Alicia pulls Ali's arm because she wants to drag her into Mika's team, Ali then interrupts Alicia saying he wants to team up with other agents. Alicia is angry and says again that her main mission is to take care of him, but Ali ignores her and goes towards Moon, Iman and Jet. This made Alicia feel dissatified for Ali's actions.
Leon explains that their task in this exercise is to get copies of intel that are located in three different locations, then they need to locate those locations to open the intel vault and get back to the finish line as quickly as possible; The first team to arrive will be considered the winner. All 12 agent trainees gathered at the starting line on the Academy field: Ali, Moon, Jet, and Iman; Alicia, Khai, Mika, and Rudy; Roza, Chris, Bulat, and Zass.
As soon as the training started, Zass sprinted ahead of his teammates and the rest of the team. Jets flew high to monitor the situation. Alicia starts strategizing, Khai orders RO to locate the intel. Ali's team stops to find the position of the intel location, Jet sees one location but Zass is almost there. Ali uses IRIS to track intel and finds one, so Ali's team rushes there. Meanwhile, Zass arrives at the location where the intel is stored. He immediately ran to get the intel but stepped on a trap. Suddenly, an alarm went off, and an army Droids and Drones appeared around Zass, pointing weapons at him and ready to fire.
Meanwhile, Ali's team arrived at another intel location. Before taking the intel, Ali detects with IRIS and discovers that there are many sensors below. Ali tells his teammates to wait and he jumps in his Aero Boots and sees RO trying to unlock the intel. Ali hijacks the intel using his yoyo and infuriates RO. Ali jumped back down and kept running.
Suddenly, a bullet was fired and hit Ali's wrist, knocking the intel out of his hand. Rudy gets the intel and made Ali angry. Moon told his team to get the intel back. Jet immediately charges at Rudy but is blocked by Mika, causing Jet to fall into a trap, causing the Droids and Drones to appear. Jet flies high to avoid being shot by the robots. Moon uses his suit to form clones to confuse the robots. Rudy sneaks up from behind and puts Shadow Cuffs on a Droid's wrist to shoot down another Droid. Mika attacks and fights with Droid vigorously.
Ali continues to attack the Droids using his yoyo. Iman attacked the Droids with the weapon on the end of her scarf. Too engrossed in fighting, Iman's weapon almost hit Ali. Khai looked up and activated RO to find the main switch of the security alarm in an attempt to turn off the MATA security system. Meanwhile, all the trainees were still fighting the remaining forces with their respective gadgets. Finally, the Droids and the drones fall to the ground and shut down; this is because Khai managed to stop the main switch of the MATA security alarm device
Suddenly, Rudy was attacked by Ali's yoyo. Jet, Alicia and Iman were shocked to see what happened. Ali immediately ran away from Rudy and was called a thief by Mika. Ali asked his teammates to stop the other team. Alicia aimed the Ballistic at Ali to shoot him, but was quickly blocked by Jet and knocked down. Mika felt angry and tried to chase after Ali but was unsuccessful. Iman attacks Mika with her scarf weapon to protect Ali. Rudy stared at Ali with anger.
Bakar and Leon are waiting for the winner at the finish line. Ali in a state of panting arrived in front of Bakar and Leon. Finding Ali alone, Leon insists that he must return to the finish line with all his team members as this is a team exercise. Ali felt empty hearing Agent Leon's words, but he immediately turned back to his team. On the way, Ali runs into "Iman" who tells Ali that his team has been injured. This made Ali feel guilty and immediately wanted to save his teammates.
Suddenly, Ali felt that both his wrists had been tied with something. Apparently Rudy is disguised as Iman, Ali is restrained and subdued due to being restrained by Rudy who controls the Shadow Cuffs worn on him while in disguise. In the end, Rudy easily shook the intel out of Ali's hands. Ali tried to escape but failed. Rudy left Ali alone there.
Meanwhile, Rizwan moved quickly towards the MATA detention center. Once the door was opened, Rizwan hacked the video camera system in the prison to show that no one had entered the prison. Then, Rizwan entered the room and faced Uno's minion, Dos.
