I read an article on the local The Star newspaper and there was an ASUS ZenFone 3 advertisement on page 22 of it.
Let me summarize it.
The advertisement promoted three ZenFone 3 devices:
- ZenFone 3 (ZE520KL / ZE552KL)
- ZenFone 3 Ultra (ZU680KL)
- ZenFone 3 Max (ZC520TL)
So this is the first time ASUS has eliminated the Intel Atom x86 CPU from all ZenFone models.
What about the features?

- The battery is 4,100 mAh for 30-day standby. That is 900 mAh smaller than that from the ZenFone 2 Max, but it's acceptable.
- Power Bank Reservoir mode for reverse charging
- 0.3-second ultra-fast fingerprint sensor unlocking
- Also, this is the first big-battery ASUS phone to have a MediaTek (MTK) quad core.
What about the Ultra version (ZU680KL)? [Ultra Vision, Ultra Sound]
- ASUS touts this as the Multimedia Smartphone, despite it having a similar size to a Galaxy Tab 7.0. At 6.8 inches, it is just shy of 1/5 of an inch.
